Jolie Vue Farms is a Rockin' B Enterprise, owned and operated by the Boudreaux family, Glen and Honi Ann, and their children, Elizabeth and Chris (with new grandsons Henry and Robert), Frank and John Henry. Daily supervision of the farm is provided by Clay and Julia Gay Theeck. The farm is located in the bluebonnet hills of Washington County, about 85 miles northwest of Houston, in the vicinity of Brenham.
Following its acquisition in 1989, the goal of restoration of the farm to its original state of native grasses, clovers, and wildflowers was begun, and has proceeded at nature's sure steady pace. From the beginning, restoration was implemented without the intervention of artificial chemicals. While some particularly neglected sections of the farm were re-seeded in native vegetation, most of the new growth occurred from seed lying dormant in the soil. It has truly been wonderful to watch as the farm transformed itself from an over-grazed, chemically-sterilized environment to a natural oasis which invited not only the return of native vegetation, but the wildlife that subsists on it as well.

There's nothing like the bluebonnet hills of Washington County and Jolie Vue Farms! But our partnership with nature is not finished. In fact, it has only begun.
NEWS FLASH -- Not only is Jolie Vue Farms' pasture-raised beef great to eat, we've also been recognized for our contribution to youth agriculture. One of our Jolie Vue Farms bulls and a heifer from Walkin' T Ranch (Clay Theek's father) sired the Louisiana State Champion steer awarded at the LSU Rodeo. Even more interesting, the young lady who raised the steer is named Jolie Trahan - talk about your coincidences! Jolie Trahan first won at the Calcasieu Parish Fair (Lake Charles) then went on to compete statewide and won that blue ribbon.
Here's a photo of Jolie with her prize-winning steer. Congratulations from all of us at Jolie Vue Farms!
